Lymphedema
Therapy

Lymphatic massage a technique used to reduce lymphedema.

The lymphatic system helps your body eliminate waste. Surgery or other damage can cause fluids to build up in your lymph system, and in your lymph nodes, a condition called lymphedema.

Lymphatic massage is a massage technique often recommended by doctors following surgery on or involving your lymph nodes. Unlike other massage techniques, manual lymphedema therapy is very light to the touch. When applied by a skilled practitioner, lymphatic massage therapy can promote lymph formation and facilitates drainage of lymph fluid under areas of your skin.

In addition to reducing post-surgical edema, the technique can provide relief from migraine headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), scleroderma, stress, fatigue, and more. It also promotes general relaxation and detoxification.
