Visceral Manipulation
Therapy

Similar to how muscle and joint restrictions can cause tightness, pain and limited mobility, your internal organs can also become misaligned and restricted.

Your organs also require a certain range of movement and alignment to function correctly. Surgical scars, adhesions, infection, illness, bad posture, and injury can all restrict organs. These restrictions can prevent your organs from moving as they should. Your body learns to accommodate by moving around the tension caused by these restrictions. Over time, this repeated movement can lead to irritation and inflammation resulting in neural, musculoskeletal, and visceral dysfunction.

Visceral Manipulation evaluates the relationship between your organs (e.g., bladder, bowel, uterus, etc.) and other components of your body, like muscles, fascia, ligaments, and joints.

The process of Visceral Manipulation consists of an experienced therapist using her hands to move and release fascial constrictions in your abdominal and pelvic regions to encourage normal movement and function of your organs.

Visceral Manipulation has effectively treated:

  • Constipation and Bloating
  • GERD, Acid Reflux
